Art Without Borders for the Royal Academy of Arts and the Natalia Cola Foundation
Sympact was briefed to design, organise and manage a charitable fundraiser, raising funds for the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine on behalf of the client, the Natalia Cola Foundation, a Ukrainian arts foundation. The lead time for the project was three months.
The project’s goals were established to raise $150k (£116k), introduce the foundation to new markets, and elevate the foundation’s profile through prestigious partnerships and two national pieces of press coverage.
Results
Sympact conceived and executed Art without Borders, a charitable fundraiser that consisted of a live auction, gala dinner and online auction.
Raising over $300k (£230K), we secured a historic partnership with the Royal Academy of Arts in London and achieved strategic partnerships with Giorgio Armani, Vogue Ukraine Christie’s and Crozier. As the first charitable partnership in the RA’s 250 year history, the project secured the Foundation international recognition, and attracted donations from some of the world’s greatest contemporary artists, such as Tracey Emin, Antony Gormley, Juergen Teller and Yinka Shonibare.
Other achievements included:
Endorsement from the UK Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak with a message conveyed to the Ukrainian ambassador at the time Vadym Prystaiko who was in attendance.
Six pieces of international and national coverage, from the Financial Times to the Independent and GQ.
An ambassador programme to support the fundraiser and enhance Foundation’s visibility with a total digital following of 881K.
The foundation’s Instagram following increased by 15% (>15,000 followers) over a one-month period.
